Our partners CARS UK has organised the transfer of the car departing Southampton, UK on 12th January by sea to Australia. This means that our new estimated start of the ‘Big Loop’ will be 1st March. The journey takes 40 days by sea and upon arrival in Australia the car will be checked over and made ready for the challenge ahead by our local partner, Porsche Australia. We are grateful for their support on this challenge with their superb technical knowledge and expertise.
The main reason for the delay in the challenge is that we received advice from our many followers on the Performancecar forum , suggesting that a later start date would avoid the school holiday traffic and most of the searing summer heat.
